Laura Hudson Parlour

Laura Hudson Parlour

This room reflects the domestic life of Laura Hudson (1848-1953) and the contents of a typical miner’s cottage parlour.

Laura Hudson resided in Clunes for over 100 years. She married a Clunes miner and worked as a school teacher, milliner and saleswoman.

Highlights include the magnificently decorative leather picture frame which was recently restored and donated to the Museum by Laura Hudson’s descendants.
