Clunes Knitting Mill

Punching the Bundy

One of the many interesting pieces you will find on display in the Clunes Museum is the ‘Bundy’ time clock from the Clunes Interknit Mill. This rare early twentieth century IBM time clock was used by employees at the Knitting Mill.

The original Clunes Knitting Mill was established in the 1920s.  Later, in 1939, the Mill was bought by Ballarat company Interknit, and became the Clunes Interknit Mill. The Clunes Interknit Mill was housed in the decommissioned South Clunes State School building; this well-preserved building now serves as the Lee Medlyn Home of Bottles.
